What Remains

Following the events of the December 8 murders, I was forced to leave Suriname abruptly. In the process, I lost my archives, photographs, documentation, and the records of collectors who had acquired my work.

This loss is compounded by the context of the pre-digital era. In the 1970s, photography was costly and limited, and much of what was created was never extensively documented.

What remains today is therefore fragmentary, traces of a body of work that once existed more fully, now carried largely through memory. The few photographs that remain may show some of the color deviations due to the discoloration over time.
