Slavery is about dehumanizing

It's about the mutilation of body and self-image

It's about the alienation of culture and symbols

It's about passing on illiteracy and poverty

It's about a lost history

It's about the most ruthless form of capitalism

It's about a great injustice

Slavery is a complex and very inconvenient history because many peoples were involved in one way or another and the enslaved were mainly illiterate, these centuries have never been properly and factually recorded 

and described from the victims point of view, as has been the case in other somewhat similar events. Slavery is not only exploitation, but also physical, mental and cultural mutilation that reverberates to this day.
